Exodus Adventure Camps

A group of campers along the trail in Michigan's Porcupine Mountains.

Wildwood Ranch presents a non-traditional camping experience through our Exodus Adventure Camps.

Exodus means "going out" . . . to get out of the patterns of our normal mundane existence, to move into new frontiers, to live life in a way that we can know God in a real and personal way. Hike into the wilderness carrying everything you need in a backpack, canoe a river, go rock climbing, rappelling and accomplish other things that you have never experienced. We want you to consider God's great creation - and your own potential - in ways you never have before!

This year's edition of Exodus Adventure Camps include the following experiences (all are for ages 14 - 17):

Exodus Adventure CampsHuron River Canoe Trip (June 23 - 27, 2008)
Canoe the beautiful Huron River. Enjoy the adventure of camping on the river bank. No previous canoeing experience is needed.

Huron - Manistee National Forest Backpack Trip (Trip #1: July 14-18, 2008; Trip #2: July 28-August 1; Trip #3: August 11-15, 2008) This intermediate backpack trip takes place in the only National  Forest in Michigan’s lower peninsula. Sandy, rolling and forested hills make this the ideal spot to spend on the trails.

Adventure Challenge Week (June 30-July 4, 2008) Experience the outdoors in a secure setting right on Wildwood Ranch's residential campgrounds. Learn skills that are necessary in backpacking outdoors cooking and canoeing. Spend some extended time on one of Michigan's premiere ropes courses..

Northern Trails Horseback Trip (August 10-15, 2008)
Experienced riders spend the week riding on the beautiful Michigan Shore to Shore Trail and camping out at rustic sites along the trail. Riders will travel an average of 25 miles each day on horseback. A support vehicle transports camping equipment and food from site to site. You must obtain prior approval of riding skills before you can apply for this camp!
